Coolum Theatre Players

Let's give a big shoutout to PAIGE FALLU!
The Coolum teen has landed a place in the prestigious musical theatre program at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA)

Coolum Theatre Players is SO proud of you Paige, having followed your journey for the past few years.

Many of you will remember that Paige was the winner of the CTP Bursary of $1,000 in 2017. You can see her here pictured with Noel and Julia Loaney and her drama teacher, Emma Clarke.

Paige spread her bursary across three opportunities to fuel her musical theatre dream.

Firstly, she undertook a Brisbane-based musical theatre course called "Broadway Bound" held in January last year, hosted by Underground Broadway.

In April she booked into an Audition Masterclass in Brisbane, presented by WAAPA.

And finally, she undertook a performing arts musical theatre audition workshop at Griffith University.

As you can see from the recent cover of the Coolum & North Shore News, Paige's hard work has paid off!

Congratulations Paige, we are all very thrilled with your news and wish you EVERY success with your musical theatre future.

Great to have you back in the director’s chair for CTP, Michael. It’s going to be a fun show.

Today a member of our CTP family had her final curtain call. It was a wonderful service, full of emotion and heartache. We will all miss you, dear Meg (though I never called you anything but Margaret). Rest peacefully now. ... See MoreSee Less

Please keep all these families in your thoughts this coming week.

SAD NEWS

Sad news for CTP members this weekend. Margaret Cheesman passed away 3.45am on Friday morning, January 11th.

Margaret (Meg) was CTP's treasurer and FOH manager for several years from about 2009 - 13

Margaret was always happy to put her CTP shirt on and represent the theatre where and whenever needed. She is pictured here at the 2013 Sunshine Coast theatre festival.

Deepest Sympathy and love to her husband Terry and son Trevor.

*******

SENDING LOVE AND PRAYERS

We are also sending love and prayers to our life member and patron of Coolum Theatre Players, Beryl Keogh, who was admitted to the acute pain ward in Greenslopes Private Hospital on Tuesday night after a bad fall.

Her injuries are extensive - 5 fractured ribs, lacerations on both arms, muscle injury to her right shoulder and general bruising.

No visits are to be made at this stage, she is currently on high end doses of pain relief, and daughter Lorelle asks only for your thoughts and prayers for Beryl for her pain relief and recovery.

My deepest sympathy. Prayers for Margaret and for Beryl.

so shocked. also love to Terry and Trevor. You have lost a mighty lady but have been blessed with her as a wife and mum. xxx

so sad. To Margaret's family, she was so loved. Ohh, and Beryl, beautiful Beryl. My heart breaks. Thoughts and prayers from Robin Fleming and myself. Beryl and Robin are great mates and she walked to his 60th at the bowls club in 2017 and gave him biscuits as a present - cause she knew everyone else would buy rum. xxx I am sure Robin will pay more tributes when he gets home.

Rest In Peace Cheeso. Sad news indeed. Get well soon Beryl. Sending you healing vibes & prayers πŸ™

R.I.P Margaret. Condolences to Terry and the family.
