SATURDAY 26th July 12pm – 3pm
We had such a great time the last time we held our Improvisation course, that we’re doing it all again.
Being part of a show is great, you get to be on stage, learn lines, movement and bring it all to life in front of an audience!
But ask an actor to “improvise” and it is often met with fear!
Yet improvisation lies beneath the heart of any rehearsal or performance.
It is a chance to play and create without fear of failure.
While rehearsing for a show, we rarely get a chance to explore and play outside the script and to practice acting techniques.
This workshop is aimed at developing key acting skills such as play, listening, being present and supporting your partner(s).
These are the pillars of improv and also belong in any actors toolkit.
Facilitating this workshop will be Shaun Bennett.
Shaun is an award winning actor, improvisor, clown and comedian and has appeared on stages across Australia and New Zealand,
most recently at QPAC as a puppeteer.
He has trained with some of the worlds leading improvisors and is excited to share in the joy and creativity improv holds.
