Julie Delmore becomes our newest Life Member

By | Uncategorized

Julie Delmore, our long-time committee member and stage manager,  and a well-known Sunshine Coast theatre stalwart was awarded life membership by the Coolum Theatre Players at its AGM this month.  Pictured below left with CTP President Mallory Young, Julie has served on the CTP committee for six year and has stage managed 17 CTP productions over the last 10 years, and in total has played an active part in 138 shows, either on stage, behind the scenes or sometimes both simultaneously!  Currently the stage manager for Diplomatic Relations, Julie’s dedication to the theatre community has also been reflected in her generosity in passing on her extensive knowledge of stage management to new and less experienced volunteers.

Commenting after the AGM, Julie said: “I have loved helping to bring all of my Directors’ visions to fruition. I have loved the hundreds of talented actors and actresses that I have worked with. I have loved all of my tech crews and backstage crews, without whom there would be no show. But most of all, I have loved the feeling of ‘family’ that the committee of Coolum Theatre Players espouses. I am humbled and honoured and looking forward to the next 10!”

New auditions for Diplomatic Relations

By | Auditions, Diplomatic Relations, Other news

We’re looking for two female actors who can play comedy to fill roles that, thanks to having to reschedule the performances to the middle two weekends in November, our original cast members have reluctantly withdrawn from.

Dorothy is the ambassador’s reliable right hand. Prim though she may seem, there’s more to Dorothy than meets the eye! Must be 40 plus, but there’s no upper age limit.

Antonia is a career professional sent from Canberra to check out the Embassy’s books.  On the surface, she’s all business, but is there a throbbing heart beating beneath that crisp professional exterior?  Age played needs to be something between 25 – 50.

Auditions will take place on Monday, August 24, 7.30pm, at Coolum Civic Centre.
