Beauty & The Beast and Play Readings

We’re well into rehearsals for eight performances of Beauty and the Beast panto during the school holidays.  We hope youngsters have been vigorously colouring in and submitting their masterpieces due today,  2nd June.  Four winners will be invited to afternoon tea hosted by Bendigo Bank at Marcoola next Friday 9th at 4pm.  Prizes include bank account packages, panto tickets and Gelato Mio ice cream vouchers.

On the social scene, you’re invited to a casual evening of rehearsed One Act Play Readings, directed by Linda Gefken, on Saturday 10th June, 7.30pm, Coolum Civic Centre.  Entry is free.   “Tinder Surprise” by Sherelle Scott (who played the Mad Hatter in CTPs Alice in Wonderland two years ago) will be entered in the Sunshine Coast Theatre Festival in August.  The other play is “Board Games” written by Andrew Moon (who played Lurch in last year’s Addams Family). Usual cabaret seating plus BYO nibbles, drinks and glasses on this occasion, please.  It’s free, informal and entertaining.  Come along and support our talented playwrights as we give their plays their first public airing.

TINDER SURPRISE

A bunch of girlfriends who’ve known each other since High School get together once a month to go out for drinks. Life has taken some funny turns over the years and the girls, all aged now in their 50s, find themselves single and discovering love in crazy places.

BOARD GAMES

Richard’s just been appointed as Chairman of the Board and sees a great opportunity to get rid of his nemesis, James, the Managing Director.   Richard has a special someone in mind as James’ replacement and he starts a very devious game to achieve his ambition.  It very nearly works.

There’s no need to book, just turn up at the door, Saturday 10th June, see you there.
