Speaking at the General meeting, which unanimously supported his proposal to award her life membership, David said Julia “worked tirelessly, networked, cajoled & encouraged the local community to support CTP both as past president & our outgoing publicity officer.

[Her] efforts have made CTP the gold standard of publicity for Sunshine Coast Theatres and I will personally always be grateful for you introducing me to the Coolum Theatre Players family.

You’ve been an invaluable part of the team Julia; we thank you for everything you have done and we look forward to seeing you, working with you and making many more memories together.”

“Estate agents are trustworthy, ethical, professional, business people and upstanding pillars of the community who have an immense amount to contribute to society.” So says Derek Figge of Cascara and Figge (moving the nation since 1927).

He will do almost anything to get a sale. No, wait a minute; he will do anything to get a sale. Lie, cheat, steal, de-fraud you name it. However, it is all about to come crashing down around his neck.

Estate agent’s “For Sale! Boards are going missing all over town but, strangely not Derek’s. The office gets burgled. Derek puts in an ambitious insurance claim. A disgruntled client decides to take the law into her own hands and takes Derek, his pregnant assistant and an off duty Policeman captive (albeit unintentionally) at the point of a loaded Baguette. In an effort to get Derek to tell the truth (for once) his assistant uses her newly found skills in hypnotism on him. Oh dear, oh dear! He’s in trouble now.

Who is Sid and will somebody shut that bloody alarm up?

There is no need to book a time (auditions are open) and also no need to have a prepared piece.

Colin Donnelly – the French Taunter, and Tim the ghostly Enchanter

After 20 years fooling the military in to thinking he was a soldier, acting was a natural progression.

Colin first appeared on Coolum’s stage in “Annie Get your Gun”, 2004. Other shows at Coolum have been “A Message for Magda”, “The Great Pretenders” (one and two), HMS Pinafore, and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” – in his gold underwear as Rocky. Having spent about six years in Sydney working as a professional actor and extra, he moved back to the Coast a few years ago.

He’s been listening to, and watching Monty Python, since he was nineteen, so he’s excited to be involved in this special brand of silliness with yet another fabulous cast and crew at Coolum.

Raffle prizes galore – thanks to our sponsors
